Morrison was contracted to perform the installation of the Phase II slug catcher expansion design at a gathering facility. The project’s focal point aimed to increase capacity of liquid storage by 5,000 barrels.
Upon completion, this engineered phase doubled the facility’s liquid storage handling, enabling the client to minimize production down-time thus decreasing loss of revenue.
The scope included abandonment of 10-inch condensate pipeline between slug catchers, installation of new 16-inch condensate pipeline between slug catchers, demolition of pumps and associated piping, foundation installation, installation of pumps, metering skid, and filter skid, pump suction and discharge piping fabrication and installation.
